OBJ and Aaron Rodgers are in agreement about one crucial thing
Odell Beckham Jr. is currently the top free agent in the NFL. Teams looking to better their playoff chances are hoping to gain his services. Aaron Rodgers said earlier in the year he’d love to have Beckham as a member of the Packers. Beckham has also been linked to the Dallas Cowboys and Buffalo Bills.
The Bills had their All-Pro linebacker, Von Miller, go down with an injury during Thursday’s game against the Detroit Lions. The injury occurred on turf. Beckham Jr., who’s rehabbing from an ACL injury, tweeted his feelings about turf grass:
GET RID OF TURF.

Rodgers feels similar
Aaron Rodgers has made similar statements this season. The Packers, who have dealt with season-altering injuries this season, could have benefited by playing on more grass surfaces this season. Rodgers said he’d like to see the NFL go to just having grass fields for player safety:
“As much as I’ve enjoyed playing indoors over the years on turf, I do think it’s time to play on grass,” Rodgers said. “I think you’d see less of these non-contact injuries. … This would be putting money where your mouth is if the league is really interested in player safety.”
These two athletes are making good points. They’ve seen the effects of turf fields. And it cost the Packers a playoff run this season. It might have cost the Bills a Super Bowl appearance. We’ll see if this injury impacts Beckham’s decision as to where he goes.
