The Milwaukee Bucks were defeated by the Brooklyn Nets the other night. The Bucks have had some slow starts in games as of late and it has caused a little bit of a skid. The Bucks do not seem worried about it but there was another story coming out of the game. Nets player Nic Claxton took to social media to call out Giannis Antetokounmpo after the game.

Nic Claxton Calls Out Giannis
After the game, Claxton posted a video of a play in the game. Giannis drove to the basket hard and went right at Claxton. The play ended with both Claxton and Giannis on the ground. He put a poll asking, “Is this basketball?” on the post. Claxton apparently doesn’t like the style of play that Giannis is using against the Nets. The Nets are undersized and teams often will play “bully ball” against them. Nic Claxton thought that Giannis went too far and called him out on social media.
Another Case Of Jealousy
This happened a couple of weeks ago with Mark Cuban. People who do not have Giannis on their team love to complain about Giannis. I guarantee you that if Giannis was doing this on the Nets, Claxton would not say a peep about Giannis’ play. Also, the play in question is not even that physical. In fact, it looks like Claxton fouls Giannis just as hard. Basketball is a physical game. While the game has become officiated tighter, players are bigger and faster so contact happens. The fact that Giannis has not responded shows how little he cares about this.
It is always funny when other players try to call out Giannis. Nic Claxton is just the latest one to be frustrated with how good Giannis is. Hopefully, the next time these two teams meet, Giannis will show what he thinks about this comment.
