Aaron Rodgers is trending on Twitter Monday
Aaron Rodgers has not yet publicly stated his intentions for the 2023 season. The four-time MVP has been linked to the New York Jets via trade. He could also choose to stay with the Green Bay Packers or retire. As of March 13th, the NFL world is still his oyster. But some Packers fans aren’t impressed.
Aaron Rodgers said after the season he had no plans to hold the Packers “hostage” this offseason regarding his plans. Rodgers referenced free agency as a period he’d want to have his decision in so as to not hold the team hostage. Because the Jets and Packers can’t adequately plan their free agency signings until they know what Rodgers’ cap hit will be next season, he’s, well, sort of holding the Jets and Packers hostage Monday.

Even beat reporters who wanted to give Rodgers the benefit of the doubt that he needed time to make his decision started saying the future Hall of Fame quarterback needed to render his decision.
