Patrick Mahomes has two times the Super Bowl Wins as Aaron Rodgers
Patrick Mahomes is on his way to NFL immortality after winning his second Super Bowl on Sunday night. Mahomes overcame a high-ankle sprain to lead a double-digit deficit in the second half to beat the Philadelphia Eagles. NFL fans and analysts are now debating if Mahomes’ legacy has passed that of Aaron Rodgers.

The two aren’t easy to compare when you look past their incredible arm talent. Rodgers came into the league over a decade before Mahomes. Rodgers won a Super Bowl early in his starting career. But he hasn’t won an NFC Championship since the 2010 season. Mahomes, at age 27, now has won three AFC Championship Games and two Super Bowls.
But Mahomes inherited a better position than Rodgers. Mahomes head coach Andy Reid is one of the best coaches of all time. Mahomes has had the benefit of playing with generational talents like Travis Kelce at tight end and Tyreek Hill at wide receiver.
Rodgers has had great wide receivers like Davante Adams but never an elite tight end. But Rodgers has also underperformed in playoff games. Putting up ten points at home against the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round game last season is a recent example.
