NFL Scout Has Bold Prediction for Sammy Watkins on Packers

Despite the lack of wide receivers on their depth chart, the signing of Sammy Watkins by the Packers has already been swept under the rug by many. Perhaps it is the pre-draft hype and the many rumors surrounding what the Packers might do with two first round picks. Perhaps it is because of Watkins’ injury history. In any case, Watkins has all but been written off already by many fans. One NFL scout, speaking to the NFL Analysis Network, had something different to say.

The Anonymous Scout Made a Bold Prediction about Sammy Watkins

On Sammy Watkins signing with the Packers, the NFL scout said: “I don’t get why everyone is overlooking this move. Yes, Sammy (Watkins) has had his share of injury issues, but if he stays healthy, he’s going to put up monster numbers in Green Bay. Having a guy like Aaron Rodgers gunning to bring you in says volumes about this move.”

The scout makes a great point. Aaron Rodgers did a lot to get some sway with the Packers front office. Now that he has it, he used it to bring Sammy Watkins to Green Bay. If the four-time MVP is excited about a player, then fans should be excited, too.
