A former Green Bay Packers defensive back signed with the Seattle Seahawks Thursday. The Packers have had a lot of turnover recently in their competitive secondary. The team is still waiting for Eric Stokes to rehab so he can be ready to start at cornerback. Even with Stokes’ injury, the Packers released Benjie Franklin in the middle of May.

It didn’t take long for Franklin to find a new team. According to Aaron Wilson with KPRC, the Seahawks signed Franklin.

Per WSH Media files, Franklin was with the Packers’ practice squad for six weeks during the regular season last year before signing with the team in January. Now he’ll join a Seahawks’ defense that’s looking to improve their secondary play from last season.
