NFL News: The Jordan Love era is fully underway for the Green Bay Packers. After 31 years someone not named Brett Favre or Aaron Rodgers will be under center for week one of the NFL season. Love is entering his fourth year in the league after sitting behind legendary Aaron Rodgers for the first three years of his career. The progress he has made in the league so far has been noticeable to both players and coaches. Today he was even seen working out with a legendary four-time All-Pro wide receiver.
Jordan Love Working Out With Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson

Chad Johnson is one of the best wide receivers to ever do it in the NFL. He has been a big fan of Green Bay Packers players over the years, most notably Davante Adams. However, it seems he has taking a liking to the Packers new starting quarterback Jordan Love:
Jordan Love does have the weapons at wide receiver to help him grow as quarterback this season. It all begins with Christian Watson, who led all rookies last year in touchdown catches and would have won Offensive Rookie of the Year if he stayed healthy. He also had Romeo Doubs, who was having a solid rookie year before suffering an ankle injury.
Then there is Samori Toure who looks to take that second-year jump. In addition, there is a new weapon in the slot with rookie Jayden Reed. Dontayvious Wicks, Grant DuBose, Bo Melton, and Malik Heath will also be in the mix. Love has been working with most of these receivers during the offseason and even last year when he was the backup.
Jordan Love Can Flourish Under Matt LaFleur’s Offense

In 2022, Aaron Rodgers made some questionable decisions on offense. He pointed out that Matt LaFleur’s offense needed to be more straightforward with less motion. However, LaFleur insisted on sticking to the same offensive strategy. Despite Rodgers’ impressive track record, the coaching staff ultimately decides the game plan for each opponent.
This is where Jordan Love can excel by avoiding the temptation to play “hero ball,” instead executing the offense as intended. Love has experience with the modern wave of offensive play calling in college and the pros. Love can make some big plays with the young players on his team. Love will ultimately allow Matt LaFleur and company to show what they are capable of as far as play calling and schemes go.
