Green Bay Packers defensive lineman Kenny Clark has gone on record saying that his team has “100%” been disrespected all offseason. He also stated the they prefer it that way so they can come in under the radar and surprise many people. That trend continued when Pro Football Network released their list of the top 100 players in the NFL.
The Packers only had two players on their current roster ranked in the top 100. There also several recent Packers who now play on other teams included on the list. Additionally, there were more than a few glaring snubs.
Jaire Alexander and Kenny Clark Represent the Green Bay Packers on PFN’s Top 100

Best 2022 01
Kenny Clark, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, came in ranked at 85, one spot ahead of form Packers edge rusher Za’Darius Smith. Of Clark, PFN wrote:
“The entire Packers defense struggled in 2022. Kenny Clark had more sacks in 2022 than 2021, but he didn’t have the same overall impact we’ve come to expect from the nose tackle.
“But as one of the league’s few true noses that can actually be a pass-rushing threat, Clark deserves his rightful spot on the list. His club-and-rip move still devastates blockers, especially when he’s crossing their face to bend around the arc.”

If the Packers’ young defensive linemen, Devonte Wyatt and TJ Slaton, can provide better help on the line than their predecessors, Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed, Clark will have more opportunities to make high-impact plays, which would result in his being ranked higher on this list next year.
Jaire Alexander, also a two-time Pro Bowl selection, was ranked much higher on the list at 39th. Of his play, PFN wrote:
“The NFL’s resident gnat. There are bigger cornerbacks in the NFL. There are more physical cornerbacks in the NFL. And there are faster cornerbacks in the NFL. But none possess the attitude of Jaire Alexander.
“Alexander is the epitome of the crap-talking, trolling defensive back, a trait that has followed him from his days in college. Even though the Packers’ defense produced underwhelming results in 2022, Alexander was one of the few aspects that did not drop off.”
If there was ever a description that best described Alexander, this would be the one. He played the best season of his career in 2022 on an underwhelming defense. If the defense actually plays to its potential in 2023, Alexander will only shine even brighter.
Former Green Bay Packers on the Top 100 List

- Za’Darius Smith- 86th
- Micah Hyde- 81st
- Davante Adams- 32nd
Aaron Rodgers did not make the top-100 list.
Noticeably absent, too, are current Packers players Aaron Jones, Elgton Jenkins, and David Bakhtiari. Perhaps a surprise 2023 season will be enough to finally get these players the respect and recognition they deserve. And why isn’t All-Pro kick returner Keisean Nixon on the list? One would have imagined that an ALL-PRO would get enough respect to make any top-100 list.
