NFL News: Adrian Peterson is one of the greatest running backs to ever play for the NFL. After spending the majority of his career with the Minnesota Vikings (2007-2016), Peterson has bounced around the league. From 2017-2021 the all-time running back spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, New Orleans Saints, Washington Commanders, Detroit Lions, Tennessee Titans, and Seattle Seahawks. After not playing during the 2022-23 season. many thought his career would be over. As it turns out, that might not be the case.
Adrian Peterson Linked To The Dallas Cowboys As He Admits He’s Not Ready For Retirement
During the 2023 NFL off-season, legendary running back Adrian Peterson spoke about a possible return to the NFL, and specifically, the Dallas Cowboys:
“Mentally, I haven’t officially hung it up,” Peterson told the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “We’ll see what happens. My mindset is, if God’s willing maybe an opportunity presents itself and maybe it happens this season.”
Peterson bounced around from team to team in 2021. However, from 2018-2020 Adrian Peterson still averaged more than four yards per carry. Does he still have some gas left in the tank?
How Would Peterson Fit On The Dallas Cowboys?
The Dallas Cowboys have moved on from running backEzekiel Elliott this off-season. The RB1 role now belongs to Tony Pollard. The Cowboys could look for a short-term deal for a short-yardage specialist to compliment Pollard, Adrian Peterson could fit that role.
Peterson has rushed for 14,918 — No. 5 on the all-time list — and has 120 touchdowns in his career. He has been. linked to the Cowboys in the past, could he end his career with Dallas?
