Aaron Rodgers has been sending messages to backup quarterbacks lately. He sent a video message to Green Bay Packers quarterback Sean Clifford Thursday. Rodgers sent another message to his New York Jets teammate Zach Wilson.
Rodgers was featured in a Fanatics video that was published Thursday. He jokingly asked Clifford how his locker is, as the rookie quarterback is now occupying Rodgers’ old locker. Rodgers’ joke Friday didn’t seem to be as much of a laughing matter.
According to Field Yates of ESPN, Rodgers was asked by the media how Wilson has handled his new situation with the Jets. (Wilson, a former Jets starter and former second-overall pick, will be Rodgers’ backup this season.) Rodgers tried to make another joke in response, but many are taking his answer as a jab at Wilson’s quarterback skills:
“[Wilson’s] been incredible. He hasn’t made my life hell everyday,” Rodgers said.

New York Jets fans react to Aaron Rodgers’ apparent jab
Many on social media took Rodgers’ words to mean Wilson hasn’t been very competitive in OTAs. It either seems like Rodgers took a shot at Wilson for struggling, or he took a jab at Jordan Love for his attitude during his time with the Packers. Here are the best takes of Rodgers taking a shot at a teammate or former teammate.
