NFL: The Green Bay Packers certainly have a number of bright spots during their pre-season match-up with the New England Patriots. Jordan Love was certainly one of those bright spots. He finished his second preseason game 5-of-8 for 84 yards with a touchdown, plus two carries for 11 yards. He also had a number of great throws including one to Romeo Doubs and his touchdown throw to Jayden Reed. However, there was another rookie wide receiver who made an incredible catch during the game.

Heath finished with night with five receptions for 75 yards. He signed by Green Bay as an un-drafted free agent on May 5, 202. He spent one season at Mississippi (2022), two at Mississippi State (2020-21) and two at Copiah-Lincoln Community College (2018-19.
He played in 34 games with 21 starts during his three seasons in the Southeastern Conference, posting 131 receptions for 1,720 yards (13.1 avg.) and 13 TD. Heath appeared in all 13 games with 12 starts for the Rebels in 2022, earning third-team All-Southeastern Conference honors from Pro Football Focus after posting a team-high 60 receptions for a team-leading 971 yards (16.2 avg.) and five TDs. He ranked No. 3 in the SEC in receiving yards and No. 2 in receiving yards per game (74.7).
Heath’s got work to do to secure a roster spot. It could wind up being Heath vs. seventh-round pick Grant DuBose for the final spot at receiver. DuBose is coming on, too, and the tie often goes to the draft pick. However, performances like tonight will certainly help his chances at joining the team.
