NFL: Aaron Rodgers has made headlines all off-season long. In fact, he has been at the center of off-season conversations for a few years in a row. This year it came to a head when the Green Bay Packers and New York Jets agreed on the league-altering trade that sent the four-time MVP out east. Now that Rodgers is settled in New Jersey, he is making himself even more at home.
Aaron Rodgers Purchases House In New Jersey For $9.5 Million (NFL)
According to the New York Post:
The NFL quarterback, who was traded from the Green Bay Packers to the New York Jets in April, is rumored to have shelled out $9.5 million for a sleek eight-bedroom, 10-bathroom home in the Montclair area of New Jersey, The Post has learned.
Sources have indicated for several months that Rodgers purchased this home in question — however, sale records have yet to close, let alone reveal the identity of the buyer.
The Post has reached out to Rodgers’ reps for comment. The rumored purchase was first reported by the Daily Mail.
Joan Keller Barrett who held the listing with Richard Stanton of the Stanton Company told The Post she was unsure who the buyer was, but that the person made the purchase under an LLC.
Aaron Rodgers Continues To Make Him Self At Home With The New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers knew he wouldn’t be suiting up for Thursday night’s Jets-Browns Hall of Fame Game, so he bided his time on the Jets sideline, wearing a headset and speaking into a mic. However, in the third quarter his mic shifted to the NBC booth:
“I still had a love for the game. That never went away,” Rodgers told Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth about his now legendary darkness retreat before meeting with and ultimately agreeing to a trade that was finally consummated withthe Packers during draft week. “It was just about figuring out what I wanted life to be like in 2023. And this has definitely exceeded my expectations.”
“I love our team. I love our guys. I love the men and women that work for the organization. It’s a really fun environment,” he said. “That’s what you’ve got to do for a big-time change in your life. You can resist it or jump in and surrender to the process.
It’s a lot of fun being around these young guys and being around a team that’s really hungry, that had some success last year but finished rough. Robert [Saleh]’s done an incredible job of putting a staff together, to encourage and push these guys and hold them accountable.
“I’m just a cog in that wheel. I know my role, and it’s an important one, but I’m excited that football’s back and it’s an exciting time of the year.”
Rodgers has made it clear he is embracing the New York/New Jersey lifestyle. He has had nothing but glowing remarks about the area, team, and friends he has made since moving there in April.
