The New York Jets are making progress towards potentially trading for Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. It was reported that the two parties had conversations, and the report was confirmed by Ian Rapoport saying the Packers gave permission for conversations to happen.

Earlier today, news broke that some members of the Jets organization were on their way to California to meet with Aaron Rodgers in person. Of course, when this news broke plenty of people took to social media to react. One of them was Jets running back Breece Hall.

As Dan Graziano reported, Woody Johnson’s private plane is en route to meet Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers has not yet publicly announced his plans to continue playing football. It is entirely possible that this is all part of him trying to make a decision. The New York Jets cannot simply sign Rodgers. They would have to trade for him and there are many factors that play into it. However, Breece Hall is hopeful that the New York Jets can get Aaron Rodgers to his squad.
