The New York Jets need a quarterback

The New York Jets are in talks with the Green Bay Packers to finalize an Aaron Rodgers trade. Rodgers expressed on his appearance on The Pat McAfee Show that his intention was to play for the Jets next season. The Jets were thought to lose some leverage in their negotiations with the Packers when Derek Carr signed with the New Orleans Saints. But the Jets reportedly had another option a quarterback.

Aaron Rodgers got one receiver on the New York Jets, but can he get two before leaving the Green Bay Packers?
Aaron Rodgers is soon to be the New York Jets quarterback.

Jets head coach Robert Saleh expressed his desire for a veteran quarterback this offseason. The team met with Rodgers and Carr. They decided to pass on signing Carr until they heard from Rodgers about his plans for the 2023 season. Carr eventually signed with the Saints, and the Packers and Jets have been hammering out a deal to send Rodgers to New York in the past week.

    Matthew Stafford as a Jet?

There was another veteran quarterback option for the New York Jets to trade for this offseason. According to NFL insider Mike Florio, the Los Angeles Rams would have been open to trading Matthew Stafford to the Jets this offseason:

“And, yes, the Rams would have (we’re told) welcomed the opportunity to trade Stafford. If Aaron Rodgers hadn’t decided to join the Jets, Stafford could have become the Plan B, if he would have been willing to go to New York.”

Stafford would have been a step down from Rodgers, especially for his price tag this season. However, the Jets would had to have been intrigued by bringing in another Super Bowl-winning quarterback. The Jets should be in a better position with Rodgers as their quarterback for the 2023 season. The Jets Super Bowl odds have increased since Rodgers announced his intentions to join the team.

As New York Jets fan in the Bahamas, this deal with Green Packers for Aaron Rogers would hurt the team.

This will be Aaron Rogers team, not the Jets teams. He wants his players, that trade all young players away.

Jets Management teams fail, you can’t say only one QB you want.

Teams fail to sign good free agent this year, loose some our own players, because of the trade matter with Aaron Rogers

Aaron Rogers – QB is going to be cut, He not a first-round pick. Jets fans a hurting
