Wisconsin High School basketball player Nick Janowski is one of the top class of 2024 recruits in the state. Janowski will have no pressure on himself heading into his senior season because he has already committed to play in the Big Ten Conference with Nebraska Basketball.
Nebraska Basketball Lands Wisconsin Recruit Nick Janowski
Nebraska is not necessarily a hotbed for college basketball recruits, but good for them that they were able to land a four-star recruit. Nick Janowski is a 6’3″ shooting guard that weighs 200 lbs. He currently attends Pewaukee High School in Pewaukee, Wisc.
Nebraska is usually one of the bottom feeders in the Big Ten Conference year in and year out and doesn’t make the NCAA Tournament often. Nick Jankowski received eight different college offers and including one from the University of Wisconsin.
However, it felt like there wasn’t much mutual interest with the Badgers. Jankowski also received one from the Marquette Golden Eagles, but he also didn’t have much mutual interest in that basketball program either.
He received his last offer from Nebraska Basketball Recruiting on June 18, 2022. He wouldn’t have any official college visits until March 27, when his only official college visit was with the Nebraska Cornhuskers. That is all he would need to see because he would commit to playing for head coach Fred Hoiberg on April 14.

Nick Janowski was one of the main reasons why Pewaukee High School has won three consecutive WIAA Division 2 state titles. A season ago for the Pirates, he averaged 23.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG, 4.9 RPG, and 1.4 SPG.
He is ranked 76th overall nationally, the 15th-best shooting guard in the country for the class of 2024, and the second-best recruit in the state of Wisconsin, according to 247 Sports. The State of Wisconsin has only five players in the rankings for the class of 2024. Nebraska Basketball is getting itself a talented player.
