NBA news: Andre Iguodala is coming off his 19th season in the NBA. At this point, it doesn’t seem like the Golden State Warriors veteran is going to reach Year 20. There has been a lot of talk surrounding the former All-Star’s looming retirement, and by the looks of it, it does seem like this is where Iguodala is headed.
NBA News: Andre Iguodala Has Yet to Inform Warriors Brass About Retirement Decision

Warriors general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. recently provided a timely update on Iguodala’s retirement plan. The high-ranking Dubs exec wasn’t able to give us much because apparently, Iguodala hasn’t given him much to work with either. Apparently, the 39-year-old hasn’t informed the Warriors whether or not he intends to return for the upcoming season:
“But my sense is Andre’s probably got some other stuff going,” Dunleavy Jr. told Monte Poole NBC Sports Bay Area.
“But he has my number. The phone is always on.”
Dunleavy did hint at the possibility of Iguodala returning for one last dance, but at the same time, the Warriors GM isn’t holding his breath:
“We’ve communicated some this summer already,” Dunleavy said. “We’ll see. We’re not going to close the door on anything.
“But my guess, and my belief, is that he won’t be back.”
Dunleavy left Dubs fans with one final thought as they all wonder if they’ve already seen Iguodala play his last game for Golden State:
“But it’s Andre Iguodala,” Dunleavy said. “So, you never know.”
NBA News: Mike Dunleavy Has Roots With Bucks

Before Mike Dunleavy Jr. rose to a prominent role within the Warriors organization, the 42-year-old played 15 seasons in the NBA. This included two years with the Milwaukee Bucks, during which he averaged 11.2 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.0 assists, while also knocking down 1.6 triples per game on a highly-efficient 41.6-percent clip.
Dunleavy’s dad, Mike Dunleavy Sr., also played 11 years as a pro. He played the last four seasons of his career in Milwaukee as well. In 1988, he came back from retirement to play two final years with the Bucks.
It goes without saying that the Dunleavy family does have close ties with the Bucks.
