Where would Thanasis Antetokounmpo would play next? Will his brother Giannis Antetokounmpo join him?

The Milwaukee Bucks are not a shoo-in team for him as he was let go by the team during the summer of 2024-2025 season to give his spot to another player as he recovered from an Achilles injury.

Thanasis recently announced that he is back and that he has been cleared to play by his doctors after a season-long lay off.

Although he is not a superstar like his brother, his free agency saga garners attention, too.

NBA Central reported that the Houston Rockets emerge as the next team for the energetic forward, followed by the San Antonio Spurs, and the Brooklyn Nets.

The Houston Rockets are the favorites to win the Thanasis Antetokounmpo sweepstakes if he doesn’t stay in Milwaukee, per @BovadaOfficial

    San Antonio Spurs +600
    Brooklyn Nets +800

All these three teams should be interested in Thanasis for a very freaky reason.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is inseparable from Thanasis?

All those Top 3 teams are being linked to Antetokounmpo and as many believe, Thanasis will be part of the package.

The older Antetokounmpo got to sign with the Bucks and stayed there for five seasons. Giannis himself is very vocal about how much he wants his brother by his side. He even gets accused of nepotism for it.

The Rockets, who are heavily linked to the Greek Freak, is reportedly ready to give up its young core, including their All-Star Alperen Sengun just to get the services of the two-time MVP.

The Nets is reportedly a target for the Greek Freak due to financial reasons.

As for the Spurs, which will pick second overall in the June draft, is being described as a potential trade partner for Milwaukee because of their young core.

“So, San Antonio can give them real players. They can give them young players, and they can give them draft picks. That’s the golden triangle. What we don’t know is whether Giannis wants to play in San Antonio or not,” Brian Windhorst said.
