NBA News: The Milwaukee Bucks may look a little different during the 2023-24 NBA season, but much will remain the same. Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez may be free agents this off-season, but there is a strong belief throughout the league that both will re-sign with the Milwaukee Bucks for 2023 (and beyond). However, there seems to be one more veteran eyeing a return to the Bucks this season.
Veteran Forward Jae Crowder Likely To Return To The Milwaukee Bucks In 2023-24 (NBA News)
After spending the last part of the 2022-23 season with the Milwaukee Bucks, Jae Crowder is set to hit free agency. With the veteran forward spending much of the postseason on the sidelines, fans have debated whether or not the team should bring him back or not. However, it appears the Milwaukee Bucks’ front office is high on the veteran, as NBA insider Marc Stein reported that the Bucks are “increasingly expected” to re-sign Crowder once NBA free agency kicks off.
“Another interesting Milwaukee rumble: The Bucks are increasingly expected to re-sign Jae Crowder after surrendering five (yes, five) second-round picks to acquire him from Phoenix before the February trade deadline.”
You read that right, the Milwaukee Bucks gave up a substantial trade package to acquire the veteran forward. It would certainly make sense for them to try to bring Crowder back. Giving up five second-round draft picks for a player who played 18 games (started 3) is bad business.
Bucks Fans React To Jae Crowder (Likely) Returning To The Team
During Milwaukee’s playoff series loss to the Miami Heat, Crowder played 41 total minutes and averaged just 1.8 points. Fans (and Crowder himself) weren’t happy with how little he was used during crucial games. Jae Crowder helped the Phoenix Suns get to the NBA Finals in 2021 when they eventually lost to the Milwaukee Bucks. His ability to contribute to a championship caliber team is clear. When Bucks fans heard he was coming back, they took to social media in waves to react:

The Bucks don’t lose in the first round with a better coach. Yes, I’m saying the Bucks would have beaten the Heat with a better coach. Bud didn’t play Jae, didn’t adjust, let Jimmy torch Jrue the whole series. Many might argue, but this is my opinion.
