NBA News: The Milwaukee Bucks are headed into an interesting 2023 NBA off-season. After their early exit from the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Bucks moved on from their head coach Mike Budenholzer. In a somewhat surprising move, Milwaukee hired Adrian Griffin as the next head coach. They also recently hired assistant coach Terry Stotts. Now the Milwaukee Bucks will likely start retooling their roster before the 2023-24 NBA season in order to push for a second championship in four years. Could part of that re-tooling involve brining back a former Buck?
Former Milwaukee Bucks Player Donte DiVincenzo Suddenly Becomes A Free Agent

Former Golden State Warriors forward Donte DiVincenzo will decline his $4.7 million player option and become a free agent, ESPN reported Tuesday. The move will make DiVincenzo a free agent when the negotiating window opens Friday night.
DiVincenzo is still just 26-years-old. In 2022-23 he averaged 9.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.5 assists in his lone season with the Warriors. He started 36 of 72 games played. DiVincenzo set some career bests this past season, most notably, he made a career-high 150 3-pointers.
Would The Milwaukee Bucks Be Interested In Bringing Back Donte Divincenzo (NBA News)

The Milwaukee Bucks have some things to figure out this off-season. Currently talks are revolving around Jevon Carter and Khris Middleton. If both Jevon Carter (who has yet to make his decision) and Khris Middleton accepted their player options, the Bucks would have suddenly had $157.8 million on their payroll for 2023. That would have put them just a few million away from the luxury tax line of $162 million.
However, NBA executives spoke with HoopsHype and expect the Bucks to retain Middleton this summer. Those executives project Middleton to command a four-year, $130 million contract from Milwaukee. If Middleton were to re-sign with the Bucks for four years and $130 million, his annual salary would be $32.5 million, a significant drop from his $40 million player option he declined. With Carter’s possible pay raise looming, the Bucks could still very well be strapped for cash for the 2023-24 NBA season. DiVincenzo wouldn’t be impossible to manage for the Bucks, but if they got into a bidding war for him, they’d likely lose.
