NBA news: There was a lot of buzz surrounding LeBron James’ decision to revert to his No. 23 jersey for the upcoming season. Apparently, LeBron wore the No. 6 shirt for the Los Angeles Lakers for one final year in order to honor the late, great Bill Russell. This move will now allow the Lakers to join the rest of the NBA in officially retiring the No. 6 jersey in honor of the five-time MVP.
NBA News: Jeanie Buss Reveals When Lakers Will Retire LeBron James’ Jersey

Talking about jersey retirements, we all know that the Lakers are going to be giving LeBron this honor when the time comes. Team governor Jeanie Buss has now spoken out about the organization’s plan to do the same, as she revealed exactly when the Lakers intend to retire LeBron’s jersey:
“The standard for having your jersey retired as a Laker is when a player is inducted into the Hall-of-Fame. I have absolutely no doubt that LeBron will make it into the Basketball Hall-of-Fame,” Buss told Mark Medina of Sportskeeda.
“When he does so, then we will retire his jersey. Knowing that he will make it into the Basketball Hall-of-Fame, he will have his Lakers jersey retired, no doubt about it.”
There’s no doubt in anybody’s mind that LeBron James is going to be a first-ballot Hall of Famer. This is going to be four years after his retirement, so based on Buss’ revelation here, this is also when the Lakers intend to hang James’ jersey in the rafters of Crypto.com Arena. Needless to say, that’s going to be a momentous occasion.
NBA News: Will Bucks Retire Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Jersey?

Will the Milwaukee Bucks also present Giannis Antetokounmpo with the same honor by retiring his jersey once he calls time on his decorated career? The answer to that question is an unequivocal yes. While there has been no official word on it yet, you can be sure that the Bucks organization will also hang up Gianins’ No. 34 jersey when the time comes.
There are currently nine numbers that have been retired by the Bucks, and there’s no doubt that Giannis will be joining the likes of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Oscar Robertson, and Bob Lanier, to name a few, in the rafters soon enough.
