The top two teams in the NBA Central Division will square off on ESPN tonight. This Eastern conference showdown has Milwaukee traveling to Chicago. It will mark only the second time these two teams have played one another this year. However, they are slated to play three times in the final month of the season.
Previous Matchup
So far, Milwaukee has won the only game between these teams: a 94-90 victory back on January 21st. This match saw each team’s star player go for 30. Giannis notched 30 points on 11-of-23 shooting, while Derozan poured in 35 on 9-of-18, respectively. This game saw its fair share of free throws as well; the Bulls shot 24 and the Bucks shot 28.
You might remember, this is the game Grayson Allen was assessed a flagrant 2 foul and ejected. Allen fouled Caruso hard on a layup attempt, and the resulting fall caused Caruso to fracture his right wrist, requiring surgery.

Winning Streak, Losing Streak
After a horrendous loss to the Nets, Milwaukee has turned it around. The Bucks have won two consecutive games. Giannis and company pummeled Charlotte enroute to a 24 point win. After that, the Bucks beat the Heat in dramatic fashion thanks to Jrue Holiday’s game winning layup. Milwaukee came back from down 14 points with six minutes left in the game.
Chicago has stumbled out of the All-Star break losing three of their first four games. Those three losses have all come in a row. The Bulls will be playing Milwaukee on a back-to-back where the Bulls lost a high scoring affair to the Atlanta Hawks. Chicago took a lead heading into the fourth quarter, but Trae Young proved to be too much. Young went for 39 points in the game.
Nationally Televised Game
The NBA got it right this time. Many fans could not tune into the Bucks and Heat game due to it only being on Bally Sports WI. Tonight, the Bucks and Bulls will duke it out on ESPN. Tip off for the game is set for 6:30 CT. Winner of this game will claim the third place seed in the tight Eastern conference race.
