The Packers Have More Free Agency Options

At the end of the day the NFL is, indeed, a business. Cap casualties are happening as free agency approaches, especially with the cap being down. The Packers’ options for free agency is really starting to look good. More players from teams are being released, which the Packers can use in their favor in free agency. Many players in free agency want to play for a contending team like the Packers are. Here some of the options the Packers have in free agency.

Jurrell Casey Eager To Face Former Team When Broncos Host Titans In Opener – CBS Denver

    Jurrell Casey

Jurrell Casey was just released by the Broncos after one season. Without a doubt the Packers need help along that defensive line. Casey could bring that veteran experience to the team and would be a huge upgrade. He would definitely would be a nice addition to have with Kenny Clark and Kingsley Keke. Casey, in free agency at age 31, is looking to be on a contending team and shouldn’t cost too much for the Packers. He has some juice left in him and the Packers should take a look.

Titans wide receiver Adam Humphries deserves a bigger role in 2020 | PFN

    Adam Humphries

Adam Humphries, after signing a huge contract with the Tennessee Titans, is now released. His injuries, especially his concussions, are a big concern going into free agency. On the other hand, if he can stay healthy Packers should consider him. Yes, the Packers had the number one offense, but they are lacking a slot receiver, a position he can fill.  He is 27 years old, in the prime of his career, and can flourish in Matt Lafleur’s system. Given the injury history. his price tag shouldn’t be too high for the Packers.  Adam Humphries should be on the Packers free agency radar coming in free agency as he can fill a need for them.

    DeSean Jackson - Wikipedia

    Desean Jackson

Desean Jackson would certainly be a nice fit on offense for the Packers. Let’s acknowledge that he has put up big numbers with some not so good quarterbacks for most of his career. Aaron Rodgers would certainly be the best quarterback he has ever had. Desean Jackson is in the twilight of his career and may want to try to win a ring. The Packers could be a good destination for him. He might be a hot commodity in free agency because he still can be that deep threat that scares defenses. He would not command attention on the Packers’ offense as Davante Adams is who defenses are keying on. Getting Desean Jackson would make this offense deadly and the Packers should keep a eye on him in free agency.

Cardinals' Michael Bidwill: Patrick Peterson Trade 'Not Happening' Amid Rumors | Bleacher Report | Latest News, Videos and Highlights

    Patrick Peterson

Now Patrick Peterson was certainly not good in 2020 and is not that shutdown corner he use to be. The Cardinals did him a good service parting ways with him as he can try to go to a contender. Now Peterson can no longer guard the number one receiver, but on the Packers he wouldn’t have to do that. He would be a perfect compliment for Jaire Alexander who is becoming a lockdown corner.  He could also provide leadership in that young cornerback room.

Will Fuller suspension leaves questions for Texans now, in free agency

    Will Fuller

The Packers tried to trade for Will Fuller, but the trade fell through. Now Fuller will be a free agent. Fuller definitely shouldn’t command a big pay day/ He has not stayed healthy and now has a PED suspension that ended his 2020 season. Will Fuller, if the Packers signed him in free agency, would make this offense explode. Pairing him with Davante Adams will put fear into to the hearts of defenses. Defenses already are trying to limit Davante Adams. Adding Fuller would make it even more difficult.  He also can open up Marquez Valdes Scantling, whose speed concerns defenders as well. The Packers should be in a strong pursuit of Will Fuller in free agency.
