The 2023 NBA draft order has officially been set though that doesn’t mean much for the Milwaukee Bucks. In recent years, the Bucks have sent their picks to other teams in order to acquire players to win a championship. This is not an uncommon strategy for teams that are trying to keep a championship window open but it does make the draft a lot less interesting. However, the Bucks do have one pick, the last one in the 2023 draft. In one post-lottery mock draft, the Bucks take Olivier-Maxence Prosper, a small forward out of Marquette University.
Milwaukee Bucks Take Golden Eagle In Latest Mock Draft
The Bucks need a wing badly. Jae Crowder didn’t work out the way that the team was hoping and Khris Middleton‘s future with the team is up in the air. The wing position is one of the most critical in basketball as many teams have elite players at the position. Olivier-Maxence Prosper is a raw prospect but with the last pick in the draft, teams are taking flyers on players. He averaged 12.5 points and 4.7 rebounds this season for the Golden Eagles and would be able to come into a team where he wasn’t expected to be the star.

Lots Of Offseason Decisions
Who the team takes with their lone draft pick will probably be the easiest decision that is made this offseason. The coaching search is in full swing and the list of potential candidates seems to grow by the day. Middleton and Brook Lopez will need new contracts if they are retained. If they are not retained, what is the move? It seems weird to not bring back the team that had the best record in the NBA but that team was also bounced in the first round. The limited number of draft picks makes it difficult to make any huge moves so the team has to hope that the fringe moves are enough.
Milwaukee Bucks fans can ignore most of the NBA draft but can tune in for the last pick. Hopefully, they hit on a prospect and he can help move the needle for the team.
