MLB News: The American League Central division has taken a lot of heat this year and has been labeled the weakest division in baseball. Currently the top two teams within that division, the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians, are squaring off. Minnesota has won the first two games of the series and their lead in the division sits at seven games.
Following the Twins second victory over the Guardians MLB Insider Bob Nightengale declared the divisional race over. In doing so he also made several mistakes in the process.

Bob Nightengale makes several mistakes when declaring the American League Central battle between the Minnesota Twins and Cleveland Guardians over (MLB News).
On X, formerly known as Twitter, Bob Nightengale posted “The Minnesota #Twins knock off the Cleveland #Guardians again, 8-3, and can put the champagne on ice. They have a 7-game lead, and the tiebreaker advantage, with 23 to play Magic Number: 16.”
Unfortunately he was incorrect in that the Twins do not have the tiebreaker and the Magic Number was also wrong. 18 minutes after that post he quote tweeted the above information and corrected himself by stating, “Magic number is 17. Tiebreaker is decided Wednesday.”
To make matters even worse Bob Nightengale tends to be the ultimate jinxer in baseball. Somehow whenever he predicts something or makes a comment the exact opposite tends to happen. With that being said, congratulations may be in order to the Cleveland Guardians.
