The Milwaukee Bucks are compiling quite the list of candidates for their head coaching position. It has already been reported that the Bucks are getting permission to interview Kenny Atkinson and Scott Brooks. Now, two more names have been added to the rumor mill. Current Los Angeles Clippers coach Ty Lue and current Pheonix Suns coach Monty Williams are reportedly on the list for the Bucks.
Milwaukee Bucks Interested In Ty Lue And Monty Williams
Yahoo Sports Jake Fisher wrote a piece about the future of the Suns following the embarrassing loss to the Denver Nuggets. In the article, he dropped a couple of nuggets about the Bucks’ head coach search.
That sense of security, though, has not prevented Williams’ name from gaining steam among league personnel — including several figures present at Game 6 — when discussing potential candidates for the Bucks’ head coaching vacancy, sources said. Milwaukee is expected to pursue various experienced coaches who are currently employed by rival franchises. Los Angeles Clippers head coach Tyronn Lue is another opposing play-caller on the Bucks’ radar, league sources said.
Both the Clippers and the Suns had disappointing seasons compared to expectations. If ownership is getting tired of the losing, they could look to move on from their coaches.

Good Fits?
Lue is an interesting candidate. He is viewed very highly around the league and led the Cleveland Cavaliers to three straight NBA Finals appearances and one title. He seems to be well-loved by players and has consistently been able to get the most out of his players. Williams also is a favorite amongst players and has led the Suns to some great regular season records. What would concern me most about him is the embarrassing playoff losses. It is worth noting that if neither of these coaches is fired, the Bucks would have to give up draft capital in order to obtain their services.
The Milwaukee Bucks are definitely not holding back on the list of coaching candidates. They know they have the roster to compete now and simply need the right coach to lead them.
