The Milwaukee Bucks turnovers are hurting the team. The Bucks are in the midst of a losing skid. Their most recent road trip has seen the Bucks drop three straight to the top teams in the Eastern Conference. While the team is not panicking, it is concerning especially against the teams that the Bucks will most likely see in the playoffs. Looking at the stats, there is one that shows why the Bucks are struggling. The Milwaukee Bucks turnovers have doomed the team as of late.

An indication of how sloppy the Bucks have been recently:

In the 4 games they've been on the road, 33 of their 69 turnovers (47.8%) have been bad passes.

A far cry from their season average of 29.5%, or the league average of 31.0%.

    Milwaukee Bucks Turnovers

On the season, only 29.5% of the Milwaukee Bucks’ turnovers have been on bad passes. This is slightly below the league average which is 31%. In this four-game road trip, that number has jumped to 47.8%. The Bucks are simply not taking care of the basketball. The bad passes are leading to fewer possessions which is not helping an already struggling offense. Khris Middleton is now dealing with a knee injury which has stunted the offense. The Bucks will need to do a better job taking care of the ball if they are to get back to their winning ways.

    Doing Too Much

A string of bad passes usually means a team is trying to do too much. The fact that bad passes are the bulk of the Milwaukee Bucks turnovers is not great. Players are trying to fit passes in super tight windows or force a pass to try and get a big basket. This happens a lot in big games which the Bucks have had in the last three contests. It seems they are trying to break the losing skid by making hero plays. The Bucks need to get back to playing turnover-free basketball.

    Bucks News 1

The Milwaukee Bucks’ turnovers have doomed them recently. However, bad passes are easily fixable. If they get back to their season average, they should start to win games. The schedule is also kinder for the Bucks with the Bulls, Timberwolves, and Wizards coming up in the next couple of weeks.
