The trade deadline is fast approaching and the Milwaukee Bucks are one team to watch. While the Bucks boast one of the best records in the Eastern Conference, they have had some rocky moments especially offensively. The Bucks need to add some more shooting and one recent trade proposal looks enticing. One of the Milwaukee Bucks trade rumors has them acquiring veteran guard Alec Burks from the Detroit Pistons.

Milwaukee Bucks Trade Rumors: Alec Burks
Burks is having a stellar shooting season. He is shooting 45.3 percent from three on 4.4 attempts. Hitting nearly half of your three-pointers is insane. He also is on a very friendly deal. He makes $10 million this season with a $10.5 million team option next season. The trade involves the Bucks giving up one of their young players since they cannot match the draft capital of other teams. The Bucks would receive Alec Burks and a 2027 2nd round pick while they would give up Grayson Allen and MarJon Beauchamp.
Should The Bucks Do This Deal?
Allen is all but gone in any trade and I don’t think that Bucks fans will be all that upset even though he has been good for the Bucks this season. Beauchamp is a tough one. The Bucks do not fully own their own first-round pick until 2028. I doubt this will entice the Pistons as other teams can offer way better. This is why Beauchamp must be thrown in. With all of the injuries, Beauchamp has gotten an opportunity to show what he can do. It would be tough to lose a young developing player.
Ultimately, the Bucks should do this deal if it means winning in the short term. Championship windows are not open long. Alec Burks would give veteran leadership with good shooting. Losing Beauchamp would stink but if it meant another championship, it would be worth it.
