The NBA trade deadline is just over 24 hours away and the Milwaukee Bucks have reportedly been making phone calls ahead of the deadline trying to find that one last piece. As it turns out, the Bucks are in conversations with a conference rival. The Boston Celtics (38-16), Milwaukee Bucks (37-17), and Philadelphia 76ers (34-18) all sit atop the Eastern Conference. The Bucks and 76ers may be working on a deal that helps both teams.
Milwaukee Bucks and Philadelphia 76ers In Trade Talks For Matisse Thybulle

It was reported by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype that the Milwaukee Bucks have called the Philadelphia 76ers regarding guard Matisse Thybulle. Thybulle has been shopped reportedly since last offseason.
There have been a number of teams calling about the young guard. Marc Stein of HoopsHype: The Atlanta Hawks, Sacramento Kings, Golden State Warriors, Indiana Pacers, Portland TrailBlazers, Milwaukee Bucks, Dallas Mavericks, Charlotte Hornets, Toronto Raptors, and Phoenix Suns have all inquired about a trade. Thybulle will bring another defensive weapon to any team he may be traded to.
During his career, Matisse Thybulle has a 106.3 defensive rating, per Stat Muse. The 2022-23 season is currently in his fourth year in the NBA. This season, in 12.1 minutes per game (the lowest of his career), Thybulle has a defensive rating of 109, which is currently his career low. That said, he would still have the third-best defensive rating on the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Statmuse. He would only be behind Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez, a Defensive Player Of The Year winner and a current candidate for this year’s DPOY award. While his points per game are not impressive, Thybulle would bring that “dog” energy on defense that P.J. Tucker brought during the Bucks’ 2021 NBA Championship run.
