Milwaukee Bucks: Stephen A. Smith Calls Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo Pairing “Lethal”

The Milwaukee Bucks will have a new dynamic duo with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard and Stephen A. Smith of ESPN went onto the NBA today on Wednesday to talk about the new pairing after the trade went down. He said the new pairing between the two is:

    “Lethal.”

Stephen A. Smith also added to those words after that by saying:

“Easy. Lethal. You got to remember Giannis doesn’t have to come downhill toward you now. He doesn’t have to drive the ball the full length of the court, coming downhill and doing things that way. That’s to his advantage, but now, when he kicks it out, he’s got somebody to kick it out to that’s a sniper, that’s a closer, and more importantly when the game is on the line, you’re not looking for Giannis to save the day. Because the one thing Damian Lillard has proven throughout his career is give him the ball when the clock is winding down and ask him to close the deal, that’s his speciality.”

Damian Lillard has been known for taking clutch shots when the game is on the line and also having the ball in his hands. Giannis Antetokounmpo might be a better player than Lillard, but Dame is the one who will want the ball in his hands when the game is on the line.

He is not scared of taking the last shot. That is why Damian Lillard has been successful when the game has been on the line throughout his NBA career. Two of the shots he will always be remembered for are the first-round series against the Houston Rockets in 2014 in Game 6 at the buzzer and also the first-round series against the Oklahoma City Thunder in 2019 in Game 5 at the buzzer. Both of those shots were season-enders for the opponents.

Milwaukee Bucks Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo Could be a Duo for the Long Haul and Stephen A. Smith Also Added More Comments on it

Lillard and Antetokounmpo could wind up being the best duo in the NBA next season. It could lead them to another title for the Milwaukee Bucks for the second time in four seasons. It would be Damian Lillard’s first-ever title and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s second NBA title. There are teams that could take them down and Stephen A. Smith added on his Twitter account:

Holy Sh&$&!!!! Dame Time is heading to @Bucks. So here’s what we know: the @Bucks are trying to win now! @Giannis_An34 isn’t going anywhere. And I’m not so sure that the @celtics are may favorites to win it all anymore! Damn!!!

    — Stephen A Smith (@stephenasmith) September 27, 2023

The Boston Celtics and the Denver Nuggets, along with the Phoenix Suns probably have the best odds to knock off the Milwaukee Bucks. Stephen A. Smith is right about the fact the Bucks are trying to win now because they want to keep Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard together for the long haul also.
