The Milwaukee Bucks continued their winning ways as of late with a 125-119 win over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday night. At one point, Milwaukee led by as many as 20 points before Charlotte stars LaMelo Ball and Grant Williams got hot in fourth quarter. Ball (50 points) and Williams (32 points) were responsible for the majority of the Hornets offense for most of the night.
It was not enough, however, to overcome the well-balanced attack from the Bucks, who got contributions from multiple players down the stretch.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard Led the Milwaukee Bucks to Victory
The Bucks were led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who leads the NBA in scoring this season. The two-time NBA MVP scored 32 points, grabbed 11 rebounds, and dished out six assists while also adding two blocks. He shot 12-23 from the floor (1-3 from three) and was 7-10 from the free throw line.
Damian Lillard poured in 31 points while adding four rebounds, four assists, and a steal.
It was the fourth time this season that both Giannis and Lillard scored 30+ points each in a game. That is the most for any pair of teammates in the NBA this season.
Brook Lopez added 13 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and three blocks.
Gary Trent Jr. continued his hot shooting after his slow start to the season. He added 16 points off the bench while shooting 4-5 from three. Bobby Portis had 11 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks off the bench as well.

On Friday, Kevin O’Connor, who covers the NBA for Yahoo Sports, published an article in which he listed his NBA Team members, MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, etc. thus far this season.
He listed Giannis as Third Team All-NBA along with Kevin Durant, Victor Wembanyama, Franz Wagner, and Kyrie Iriving.
O’Connor’s First Team All-NBA members were Nikola Jokic, Anthony Davis, Jayson Tatum, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Steph Curry.
His Second Team All-NBA was made up of Anthony Edward, De’Aaron Fox, Luka Doncic, Donovan Mitchell, and LeBron James.
As mentioned previously, Giannis leads the NBA in scoring, averaging 32.4 points per game, nearly two points per game better than Jokic, who is second. The Greek Freak is also fifth in the league with 11.9 rebounds per game.
