The Milwaukee Bucks may have seen their 16-game win streak end, but they gained another key bench piece on Saturday night. In what has recently been a foregone conclusion, they signed former NBA All-Star Goran Dragic. The team announced the signing after the loss to Philadelphia.

Dragic averaged 6.4 points, 1.4 rebounds, and 2.7 assists in 51 games for the Chicago Bulls this season.
Goran Dragic Has Killed the Milwaukee Bucks in the Playoffs

Bucks fans may remember the team’s disappointing loss to the Miami Heat in the bubble playoffs. They may also remember how Gragic put up quite the fight in their redemption defeat of the Heat in the 2021 playoffs. In two playoff series against the Bucks in his career, Dragic has averages of 18.1 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 3.7 assists. He was particularly difficult in 2020 when the Heat defeated the Bucks in five games. In that series, he averaged 19.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists.
How Will Goran Dragic Fit into the Bucks’ Rotation?

Needless to say, Dragic is not going to have the same kind of role with the Bucks that he had with the Miami Heat. With Jrue Holiday and Jevon Carter ahead of him, it is not likely that he will see meaningful minutes. That being said, he is a fantastic insurance policy with plenty of playoff experience should either of those two go down with injury. He is also a 36.1% career three point shoot, adding just one more sharpshooter to the Bucks’ bench.
