The Milwaukee Bucks and Damian Lillard will have work to do in the second half of the NBA regular season after the NBA All-Star Game concluded on Sunday in Indianapolis, Indiana. The Eastern Conference All-Stars took down the Western Conference All-Stars by a final score of 211-186.
Damian Lillard was the NBA All-Star Game MVP as he scored 39 points, grabbed three rebounds, recorded six assists, and recorded one steal. Lillard hit a couple of half-court shots in the NBA All-Star Game and that is what got some of the fans out of their seats.
After the game was over Lillard was sitting at the TNT desk with Shaquille O’Neal. O’Neal gave Lillard advice about how the Bucks need to handle the second half of the 2023-2024 NBA regular season. Shaquille O’Neal told Damian Lillard as follows:
“There’s no reason you should be 3-7 with Doc Rivers over there… You’re gonna have to grab some people by the necks and say, ‘Hey, this is what I need you to do.”
Milwaukee is currently the third seed in the Eastern Conference with a 35-21 record so far this season. That message from O’Neal was also directed to Giannis Antetokounmpo. In the All-Star Game, he scored 23 points, grabbed seven rebounds, and recorded one assist.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Damian Lillard Has Never Won a Championship Before and He Will Need To Once Before He Retires
Giannis Antetokounmpo has won an NBA title before with the Bucks during the 2020-2021 season. Milwaukee trailed 0-2 in the series against the Phoenix Suns and won the next four games and the title. The Milwaukee Bucks were the number three seed that season in the Eastern Conference.
Damian Lillard was brought to Milwaukee via trade from the Portland Trail Blazers because of the opportunity to win an NBA Championship he wouldn’t currently have in Portland. Shaquille O’Neal won four NBA Championships as a player. He won three with the Los Angeles Lakers and one title with the Miami Heat.
Lillard is 33 years old and he is in win-now mode with the Bucks franchise.
