Giannis Antetokounmpo is easily one of the best players in the NBA today. But some still feel as though the Milwaukee Bucks superstar forward did not get a fair rating on NBA2K25. Antetokounmpo has a 97 rating on the latest iteration of the popular video game, tied with that of Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks and of Nikola Jokic of the Denver Nuggets for the highest rating among all players.
According to Ronnie Singh, who is better known as Ronnie2k, Antetokounmpo can see his rating go up if the Bucks win another NBA championship.
“What can he do to improve? Obviously, getting back to the promised land helps, said Singh, per Dalton Sell of Behind the Buck Pass.
“You know, all of the extra games that go into that and being the top-level guy, taking [Damian Lillard] on a much-needed long run in the playoffs, he’s never had that, so that’s a big one… When he’s hot, he’s the best player in the league; there’s no doubt… He’s a little upset, so hopefully, it gives him a chip on his shoulder and he has a monster season in response. I’ll take credit for the Bucks winning the championship this year if they do.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo will be on a mission in 2024-25 season
The Bucks fell way short of their goals in the 2023-24 NBA season. Expected to go deep in the playoffs, the Bucks instead got eliminated in the first round by the Indiana Pacers, as Milwaukee could not whether their injury issues.
Nevertheless, the Bucks remain a legitimate contender for an NBA title in the coming season, with Antetokounmpo possibly using his NBA2K rating as motivation to have an incredible campaign.
Last season, the two-time league Most Valuable Player averaged 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists in 73 games, while posting a 62.4 effective field goal percentage.
