Milwaukee Bucks star point guard Damian Lillard came to Cream City via a trade in 2023 with dreams of finally winning his first NBA title. Unfortunately for him, that did not happen right away, as the Bucks failed to get past the first round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Moreover, he saw his NBA 2K rating drop.
He had a rating of 94 for the NBA 2K24 game. But in the 2K25 version of the video game, his rating slid to just 89. That is still way above league average and top 10 among guards in the NBA, but that’s still a noticeable drop.
Damian Lillard’s NBA 2K25 rating can still improve
Ronnie Singh, who is better known as Ronnie2k, said that Lillard can be expected to see his rating go up, considering at least a few factors, including the fact that the former Weber State Wildcats still plays for a chief contender for the NBA title.
“I don’t think Dame is at that level where he’s on the downslope, but he’s going to have to have a massive bounce-back year,” Singh said, per Dalton Sell of Behind the Buck Pass.
“The ingredients are there for him. I think his rating is one that we all have to look out for and expect it to turn back up, but it comes with results. There’s a big spotlight on him as the definitive number two in Milwaukee… I think he’s got a chance to go up or down dramatically… I knew that that one was going to be contentious, but it’s right there for Dame. Former cover athlete, so we expect big things.”
