When it comes to the Milwaukee Bucks, most of the attention goes to Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetkounmpo. After all, those two are on track to become Hall of Famers one day.
However, the Bucks are more than just about the Lillard-Antetokounpo tandem. Backup forward Bobby Portis proved that again on Tuesday night when he gave Milwaukee a huge lift during an NBA Cup quarterfinal round game at Fiserv Forum against the visiting Orlando Magic.
Portis even got a special shout-out from Bucks head coach Doc Rivers after Milwaukee’s 114-109 win.

Doc says Bobby Portis has been playing great the last few games.
“Without Bobby, we’d be in trouble.”
Bobby Portis came up big for the Milwaukee Bucks against the Orlando Magic
Portis came off the bench against the Magic and fired 22 points on a near-perfect 9-for-11 shooting from the field, including a pair of 3-pointers on three attempts from behind the arc. The former Arkansas Razorbacks star also grabbed 10 rebounds, dished out four assists, recorded a steal and swatted a shot on the defensive end of the court– all in 32 minutes of service on the floor.
The Bucks trailed Orlando by 11 points early but Portis helped Milwaukee overcome that deficit by making each of his first seven attempts from the field.
The 29-year-old Portis, who signed a four-year deal worth $48.58 million contract with Milwaukee in 2022, has scored 45 points on 85.7 field goal percentage and 87.5 3-point percentage in the last two Bucks games.
