Milwaukee Bucks superstar point guard Damian Lillard is one of the greatest shooters in the history of the NBA. He can further cement that legacy with another NBA All-Star 3-point contest title in the upcoming All-Star Weekend in San Francisco.
Of course, the Bucks are hyped for Lillard’s participation in the contest. He has a chance to make history with a 3-point contest win this year, as there hasn’t been a player who won the event three years in a row since Craig Hodges pulled off that feat from 1990 to 1992.
Lillard won the 3-point title in 2023 when he was still with the Portland Trail Blazers and again in 2024 as a Buck.

In a post on Instagram, the Bucks announced Lillard’s 3-point contest participation this year.

Apart from Hodges, Boston Celtics legend and NBA icon Larry Bird is also the other player to have ever won the 3-point contest for three consecutive years. When Lillard won the event in 2024, he became just the first player to win it in back-to-back years since Jason Kapono, who did it in 2007 and 2008.
