The Milwaukee Bucks will have high expectations entering the 2023-2024 NBA regular season. Milwaukee had the best record in the east at 58-24 a season ago. The Bucks will begin regular season play on Thursday, October 26, at home against the Philadelphia 76ers.
Milwaukee is ranked all over the place on different NBA preseason polls. The Bucks in the All Sports News preseason rankings on Instagram is ranked third. That’s the second-best for an Eastern Conference team. The only team ahead of them is the Boston Celtics, and they are ranked number one in the preseason poll.
Adrian Griffin Jr. will be the head coach after firing Mike Budeholzer this offseason. They predict the MVP of this team will be Giannis Antetokounmpo. The key addition to this basketball team is point guard Damian Lillard. He was acquired via trade from the Portland Trail Blazers.
They believe the x-factor for the Milwaukee Bucks this season will be Khris Middleton. It makes a ton of sense because Middleton hasn’t been able to stay healthy, and when he is able to stay healthy, he is one of the most important players on this basketball team and will be a reliable third option.
The Milwaukee Bucks Can’t Afford to Fall Short of an NBA Title This Season
Milwaukee can’t afford not to be raising a championship banner by this time next season. The Denver Nuggets will be doing that on Tuesday night against the Los Angeles Lakers. They will also be receiving championship rings.
All Sports News on Instagram said about the Milwaukee Bucks this upcoming season:
“The Bucks flamed out in the first round last season, but they didn’t sit around and hope for the best. After severe offensive struggles, they fired Mike Budenholzer and traded for Damian Lillard. It could take time for new coach Adrian Griffin to settle in and time for Lillard to get adjusted-especially with Terry Stotts abruptly gone-but there’s no denying the ridiculous potential of the Giannis-Dame duo. Giannis remains a perennial MVP candidate, and the defensive trade off to get Lillard’s scoring ability was a worthwhile risk. Keeping Khris Middleton on the court might be the most important factor-he can still play at a high level when healthy. Brook Lopez remains a terrific defensive center, and the Bucks kept Bobby Portis’ scoring ability off the bench.”
Milwaukee will have one of the best starting fives in the NBA this season with Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, Brook Lopez, Malik Beasley, and Damian Lillard. What will be interesting to see is what head coach Adrian Griffin Jr. decides to do with his bench rotation. Some of the players coming off the bench will be Bobby Portis Jr., Cameron Payne, MarJon Beauchamp, and Pat Connaughton. They could be on a potential collision course with the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference, but this season is a failure if the Milwaukee Bucks don’t win the NBA title either.
