The Milwaukee Bucks are limited when it comes to steps on how to make the team better. This is why their 2025 draft pick will be a major decision even if they will pick only 47th in the second round.

Lots of names are getting attached to that 47th pick including Wisconsin Badgers hero John Tonje. However, one name is emerging as the ‘more promising’ prospect.
For one, Tonje is already 23 years old. This guy is only 19 years old and is dubbed as the Asian Andrew Bogut.
Bleacher Report’s Jonathan Wasserman said Hansen Yang should be a good pick for the Bucks.
Averaging 21.0 points and 11.3 boards in the CBA since March 19, Hansen Yang is putting himself in the conversation this year, especially with NIL offers expected to bring a number of draftable prospects back to college.
Though slower moving and lacking explosion, he’s developed a high skill level and feel with his footwork and touch shots from the post. Seventeen made threes make him even more intriguing for a 7’1″ 19-year-old averaging 2.7 blocks.
Milwaukee Bucks’ history of drafting big men
The Bucks have a history of picking big man but they are a hit and miss.
They did use their first overall pick in 2005 by selecting Australian big man Bogut who was a great role player at best. He was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2012 with whom he won his only NBA titlte.
They they pick Yang’s fellow Chinese player Yi Jianlian as a 2007 sixth overall pick but Yi failed to live up to the hype. He was gone after one season.

They had another first round pick in 2012 and used it to acquire John Henson was also a role player. In 2016, they selected Thon Maker as 10th overall and then DJ Wilson for 17th overall the next year. Both guys had subpar NBA career.
Bucks’ pick is in the second round. If there’s someone Bucks fans can hope to see in him, that is Malcolm Brogdon who was selected 36th overall and then won the Rookie of the Year.
