The Milwaukee Bucks are preparing for their first round series against the Indiana Pacers that is set to begin on Saturday, April 19 on the road. Milwaukee is hoping that Giannis Antetokounmpo will be healthy for the playoffs this time around and Damian Lillard has been cleared to return at some point, despite not being available for Game 1.

One team that will not be playing in the 2025 NBA playoffs is the Philadelphia 76ers. There is a chance that the 76ers could make a massive shakeup in the offseason. If the Bucks don’t make a deep playoff run and get eliminated in the first-round for the third consecutive season, is there a chance that Philadelphia and Milwaukee could make a trade with each other in the NBA offseason?
NBA Analyst Thinks That the Milwaukee Bucks Could Trade For Philadelphia 76ers Guard Paul George In the Offseason

The Bucks are not thinking about the offseason yet, but the 76ers are already in offseason mode and have pivoted toward the 2025-2026 NBA season. There are many questions about Philadelphia’s future, especially when it involves guard Paul George and center Joel Embiid.
ClutchPoints writer DJ Dunson floated the idea of the Bucks going after George this offseason, but it wouldn’t be an easy task by any means. Dunson said,
“After rolling out from underneath Khris Middleton’s albatross of a contract, the acquisition of George would be a risky endeavor. However, the Bucks are a small-market franchise trying to maximize the remainder of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s prime. For all of George’s shortcomings, he’s a more compelling wing than Middleton was after his ankle and knee surgeries.”
One of the reasons why Milwaukee traded away Khris Middleton was because of not being available on the court for them. George just completed the first season of his four-year $211 million deal with the 76ers. He has two years left on the deal with a player-option for the 2027-2028 season. If the Bucks traded for him, it would be another hefty contract for them to take on.
George played in 41 games for Philadelphia during the 2024-2025 NBA season. He averaged 16.2 PPG, 5.3 RPG, and 4.3 APG, along with shooting 43.0% from the field. George along with Antetokounmpo and Lillard would be an interesting big three. However, the Bucks may not have the tools to make a trade with the 76ers for the star guard also.
