The Milwaukee Bucks will be on the road again to face the Houston Rockets at Toyota Center. Problem is the team will continue to be incomplete as the team will again not have Pat Connaughton who is still down with an injury.
Connaughton and Bobby Portis are the only two players listed as out in the Bucks’ latest injury report. The former will be out until around April after he was suspended due to anti-drug policy violation.
Both players are two of the remaining four players from Milwaukee’s 2021 title-winning team.
Connaughton, who has been with the team since 2018, is out with a left calf strain, similar to the injury that superstar teammate Giannis Antetokounmpo dealt with at the start of month that forced him to miss multiple games and the All-Star break.
Rivers said the 32-year-old small forward’s has been dealing with such injury throughout his career.
“He’s had this through his career. Calf injuries are tough. It’s just not a good injury,” Rivers told reporters ahead of their game against the Miami Heat.

Connaughton had a number of DNPs this season and was part of numerous trade rumors.
He survived the trade deadline but his spot with the team is not safe.
The Milwaukee Bucks made necessary moves to make the team better. They acquired Kevin Porter Jr., Kyle Kuzma, and Jericho Sims.
The way things are looking, Connaughton might not see significant minutes for quite long as KPJ and Kuzma instantly fit in to the team.
Kuzma is currently the team’s third best scorer with 16.1 points per game while Porter Jr. is gradually building himself as a rotation player with his 9.8 ppg production.
