After an eventful offseason for almost every team in the NBA, the preseason will soon come and everyone will get to see how they’ll perform on the court. For their part, the Milwaukee Bucks’ schedule for that period has been revealed, which has highlighted several key points for fans to remember.
The Bucks are gearing up for the highly-anticipated 2024-25 NBA season, with their training camp set to commence on October 3. This will serve as a crucial precursor to their preseason schedule, which kicks off on October 6 with a matchup against the Detroit Pistons.
As the Bucks finalize their training camp roster, the organization is closely monitoring the recovery progress of two key players: All-Star wing Khris Middleton and rookie Andre Jackson Jr. Both players are expected to make full recoveries from their respective surgeries, but their participation in the early stages of camp and preseason games remains uncertain.
As the training camp progresses, the Bucks organization will gain greater clarity on Middleton’s recovery timeline and the overall readiness of the team heading into the preseason and regular season. The performances of the players during these crucial preseason games will shape the team’s strategic approach moving forward.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Schedule for the 2024-25 NBA Preseason Revealed
In less than two months, Bucks fans can have their first glimpse of action on the court. This can be seen in an article written by Dalton Sell for Behind The Buck Pass.
“For teams participating in preseason games outside of North America, training camp opens Sept. 27. However, the Milwaukee Bucks do not fall into that bracket, so they will begin on October 3. They are still putting together their training camp roster, so it will be interesting to see what faces they bring in over the next few weeks.
Three days after that, they kick off their preseason showcase in Detroit against the Pistons on Oct. 6. Then they have back-to-back home games, one against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 10 and then versus the Chicago Bulls on Oct. 14. To conclude, they visit the defending Western Conference Champion Dallas Mavericks on Oct. 17,” Sell wrote.
As seen above, these matchups will provide the team with valuable opportunities to evaluate their roster and address any lingering injury concerns before the regular season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers on October 23.
The coming weeks will be pivotal for the Bucks, as they work to solidify their team chemistry and address any pressing injury management issues. The success of their preseason campaign will set the tone for the regular season, where the Bucks will look to challenge the Eastern Conference’s elite teams and make a deep playoff run, ultimately vying for their first NBA championship since 2021.
