The upcoming NBA Finals has drawn the line between those who support the Dallas Mavericks or Boston Celtics. For Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley, though, there is only choice when it comes to the Finals MVP and it’s Luka Doncic.
Doncic first entered the league as the Atlanta Hawks third overall pick in the 2018 Draft and traded shortly after to the Dallas Mavericks for fellow rookie Trae Young. Right from the get-go, the Slovenian star made such an impact on his team by averaging 21.2 points, 7.8 rebounds, 6.0 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.

Over the years, Doncic would get better and led the Mavericks to four playoff appearances in the span of his six-year NBA career. At the same time, he has also won Rookie of the Year, five All-NBA team selections, five All-Star Game appearances, and a scoring title this season.
Along with All-Star guard Kyrie Irving, Doncic has elevated the Mavs into a championship-worthy team that can go toe-to-toe with the best in the league. This is more evident now since the All-Star guard will go up against Jayson Tatum and the Celtics to see who’ll come out of this best-of-seven series as champions.
Milwaukee Bucks Guard Patrick Beverley Picks Luka Doncic for 2024 NBA Finals MVP

At this point in time, people are now taking sides on who’ll win the NBA Finals. For Bucks veteran Patrick Beverley, though, there’s only one choice for Finals MVP and it’s Dallas’ Luka Doncic, as seen in a video shared by Gilbert Arenas on X.

Taking a look at both teams and there’s a good reason why the Bucks’ controversial guard picked Doncic. Over the course of 17 playoff games, the Mavericks superstar averaged 28.8 points, 9.6 rebounds, 8.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per contest.

It remains to be seen whether Doncic and company will come out of this series as the champions. What’s known, though, is that it’s hard to bet against the Slovenian, especially when the going gets tough.
