Milwaukee Bucks news: Giannis Antetokounmpo and Donald Trump are not exactly two names that you would immediately associate with each other. This is exactly why more than a few fans were surprised to hear the former United States President utter the name of the Bucks superstar during a recent campaign rally.
Well, technically, Trump did not call Antetokounmpo by his actual name. The Republican presidential bet merely referred to Giannis as “The Greek.”

For starters, here’s a brief clip from Trump’s recent speech wherein he referenced the former back-to-back NBA Most Valuable Player.

Trump mentioned Giannis in passing as he heaped praise on Milwaukee for what he referred to as the “greatest convention that anyone’s seen thus far — Republican or Democrat.”
According to the former commander-in-chief, “The Greek” is a “good player.
Bucks fans were quick to take notice of Trump including Giannis in his speech, and for the most part, the supporters didn’t exactly love it.

There’s a whole lot more where that came from, and unfortunately for Trump, most of the responses were not in his favor.
Perhaps he would have been better off saying Giannis’ full name or maybe even if he just said “Greek Freak.” That’s all water under the bridge now, I guess.
