In the past, most young stars playing for the Milwaukee Bucks haven’t got the opportunity they need to become better. This offseason, these young guns have the chance to do so by training with two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo in Greece.
Just last season, the Bucks finished third in the Eastern Conference with a record of 49 wins and 33 losses. Halfway through the season, Milwaukee’s front office let Adrian Griffin go and hired Doc Rivers as his replacement. Veteran guard Patrick Beverley was also acquired, emphasizing the need on defense.

Due to these moves, more attention was given to the Bucks’ core unit led by Antetokounmpo and All-Star guard Damian Lillard. As a result, the development of Milwaukee’s young stars weren’t given much thought last season. More or less, these guys spent time in G League or in garbage time during certain games.
Three certain young guys from the Bucks’ lineup are MarJon Beauchamp, Andre Jackson Jr., and Chris Livingston. These young guys never averaged more than 13 minutes on the court per game and haven’t seen much action outside of injuries to the team’s key players.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Young Stars Work Out With Giannis Antetokounmpo in Greece for Next Season

As it stands, the Bucks may be giving a chance for their young guys to shine soon. Proof of that can be seen in an article written Dalton Sell for Behind The Buck Pass and a post shared by The Buck Zone on Instagram.

“It’s great to see the young Bucks not only working out but, more than likely, working out with the team’s best player in Antetokounmpo. If they will play a key role for Milwaukee next season, building up that rapport with the Finals MVP will be crucial. Of course, Antetokounmpo will also not take it easy on the younger players and push them to get better every step of the way,” Sell wrote.
Most of Milwaukee’s key players, like big man Brook Lopez and forward Khris Middleton will soon decline in age and performance. If the Bucks want to continue winning, they need to develop these young guys as soon as possible.

It remains to be seen how these workouts will play out in Milwaukee’s future soon. Nevertheless, there’s no better time for Antetokounmpo and the team to integrate them than now.
