Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo added another ring to his collection when married his longtime girlfriend, Mariah Riddlesprigger, in a beautiful ceremony in Greece. The celebration took place at the luxurious Costa Navarino resort near Pylos, marking the culmination of a three-day event filled with festivities.
Antetokounmpo and Riddlesprigger’s love story began in the mid-2010s, shortly after the former joined the Bucks. The couple has maintained a relatively private relationship, occasionally sharing glimpses of their life together on social media.
Their family life blossomed with the arrival of their first son, Liam, in February 2020, followed by Maverick in August 2021. Antetokounmpo was present for both births, expressing his emotional responses to becoming a father. Mariah has often highlighted her joy in exploring Greece with his partner and their children, emphasizing the deep connection they share with his heritage.
Over the years, Mariah has been a supportive partner, often attending the Greek Freak’s games and celebrating his achievements. Notably, she was by his side when the Bucks won the NBA Championship in July 2021, proudly acknowledging his hard work and dedication.
The couple welcomed their daughter, Eva, in September 2023, and they announced their engagement shortly before her birth. Mariah has expressed her excitement about building a family together and creating lasting memories.
Details of Milwaukee Bucks Star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Wedding Revealed
Since the event was private and the media wasn’t present, details were scarce about it. According to an article published by Eurohoops, though, the couple had a beautiful ceremony attended by key figures in the NBA.
“On Sunday morning Giannis Antetokounmpo and Mariah Riddlesprigger officially became husband and wife. His teammate Khris Middleton was also present, but contrary to initial info didn’t act as the best man.
The ceremony was held at Costa Navarino resort, near Pylos in Greece, and was not entirely typical with Giannis being an orthodox Christian and Mariah a catholic and it didn’t include a best man,” the article stated.
The couple, who share three children, held a hybrid wedding ceremony that blended Greek Orthodox and Catholic traditions. Among the intimate gathering of around 200 guests were notable figures such as Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, tennis legend Serena Williams, Boston Celtics’ Jrue Holiday, and Bucks forward Khris Middleton.
The wedding festivities included a white dress party on the first night, followed by a Nigerian-themed celebration on the second, highlighting the couple’s diverse backgrounds and their desire to create a memorable experience. This new chapter in Antetokounmpo’s life, blending family and basketball, reflects his commitment to both his personal and professional endeavors as he continues to shine in the league.
