Giannis Antetokounmpo has that reputation of supporting his brothers no matter what. This can be clearly seen in a message the Milwaukee Bucks star posted on social media after Kostas Antetokounmpo and Panathinaikos won the EuroLeague this year.
Before Kostas entered the league, it was Giannis who first made an impact on the NBA for his brothers in 2013. From there, the Greek Freak would rise up the ranks to become the Milwaukee Bucks’ best player on the court. That claim was validated in 2021 when the two-time MVP led his team to capture the championship over the Phoenix Suns in six games.

For his part, Kostas was the last pick of the 2018 Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, a class that included Luka Doncic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jalen Brunson, and Trae Young. He was then traded immediately to the Dallas Mavericks and signed a two-way contract with the team.
After winning a championship with the LeBron James and Los Angeles Lakers in 2020, the younger Antetokounmpo split his time between the EuroLeague and the Chicago Bulls. He ultimately signed a two-year contract with Panathinaikos in 2023 and helped the team capture the EuroLeague title recently.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo Congratulates Brother Kostas After EuroLeague Championship Win

After Panathinaikos’ big win, Kostas received a message from his brother congratulating him. In a post Giannis shared on his Instagram account:

In that game, Panathinaikos got the 95-80 win over Real Madrid with Kostas Sloukas’ 24 points from the bench leading the way. Former Miami Heat guard Kendrick Nunn added 21 points to help Ergin Ataman capture his third EuroLeague title while being named the best coach by the Milwaukee Bucks’ star.

Kostas’ EuroLeague victory with Panathinaikos is another shining moment for the Antetokounmpo brothers as a whole. And even though his role was limited during the whole season, Giannis’ younger brother still found a way to elevate their family through this recent championship.
