Despite reported interest from multiple teams — including that from the Los Angeles Lakers — it was the Milwaukee Bucks who emerged as the winners of the Gary Trent Jr. free-agency sweepstakes.
This was a massive acquisition for the Bucks, who had very little cap room available heading into free agency. The fact that they were still able to lure Trent to Milwaukee despite interest from other teams is nothing short of a major win for the squad.
Milwaukee Bucks Fans React to Gary Trent Jr. Signing

According to reports, Trent agreed to sign a one-year deal with the Bucks on a veteran’s minimum contract. Apparently, Trent had the opportunity to sign a mid-level deal with other teams, which would have allowed him to earn much more than the estimated $2.6 million he will pocket this coming season in Milwaukee.
This major coup drew some pretty hyped reactions from Bucks supporters on X, formerly Twitter.

Trent joins Milwaukee after having played the past four seasons with the Toronto Raptors. During that span, he produced averages of 16.4 points, 2.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, and 1.4 steals, while also knocking down 2.7 triples per game on a 38.0-percent clip.
It appears that the Bucks have scored a major bargain here.
