Although it has been months since JJ Redick went on a scathing rant against Doc Rivers, the Milwaukee Bucks chose to stay silent and focus on his work. Now, the one-time Coach of the Year fires back with a truth bomb about for the former sharpshooter’s career.
Back in February, Redick appeared on First Take with Shannon Sharpe and Stephen A. Smith, and gave his take on Rivers’ allegedly throwing the Bucks under the bus for his poor start as the team’s head coach. He added that when it came to his former coach, there has been accountability with him.

Redick would double down on his Doc Rivers take by saying he didn’t regret what he said about his former coach. However, he expressed regret on how the message was delivered in that episode of First Take.
The former NBA star’s reaction came about several weeks after Milwaukee fired Adrian Griffin and hired Rivers as his replacement. From there, the Bucks lost more games than they won, leading Rivers to allegedly put the blame on something other than himself. This led to Redick going off on his former coach, causing the relationship between the two to freeze.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Doc Rivers HIts JJ Redick With Truth Bomb After Coaching Criticisms

Rivers has been silent on the issue ever since Redick hit him with his rant months ago. Just recently, the Bucks head coach addressed the issue, as seen in a video posted by NBA Central on X:
Doc fires back at JJ Redick
“JJ Redick best numbers of his career was under one coach and you’re looking at him. I’m the one who grabbed him out of Milwaukee and decided to start him. From that point on, his career took off”👀

Redick played a total of 424 games and started in 54 of them before joining Rivers’ Los Angeles Clippers team in 2013. From that point on, the former NBA sharpshooter saw his numbers rose to 15.5 points on 42 percent shooting from beyond the arc.

Even though Redick blasted Rivers a few months ago, the Bucks head coach claims he has no issues with him. It remains to be seen what the former NBA star has to say about the one-time coach of the year after his recent interview.
