Milwaukee Bucks news: Despite being named an All-Star for the eighth time in his illustrious career, there’s no denying that Damian Lillard‘s first season with the Bucks did not exactly go according to plan. After all, Lillard came to Milwaukee last summer with the objective of winning his first career NBA championship.
It goes without saying that a first-round exit in the NBA Playoffs falls way short of this goal.
This is exactly why the 34-year-old is working extremely hard in the offseason to prepare himself for what he’s hoping will be a deeper postseason run this coming year.
Milwaukee Bucks News: Damian Lillard Sounds Off on New Season
Lillard took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a simple photo of himself in a Bucks uniform. He added a two-word caption, though, that should be seen as Dame’s way of sounding off on what we can expect from him this year.
“soon come …” he wrote.
The Bucks shared a screenshot of Lillard’s post on X, formerly Twitter, with an equally enticing caption.
“Year 2 loading…” read the tweet.

While Lillard may have been subtle in his approach, this should still serve as a warning for the rest of the NBA in terms of Dame’s revenge year. His debut season in Milwaukee was not terrible by any means, but knowing this man, anything less than a championship with his new team is considered a disappointment.
Lillard hopes to change all that come the new season.
