Over the years, Damian Lillard has established himself as one of the league’s best players on the court. After his first season playing for the Milwaukee Bucks, though, the All-Star guard’s NBA2K25 rating has changed from the game’s previous version.
Last year, NBA 2K24 came out with the top 10 highest-rated players in the game. Unlike other sports titles that boast multiple 99-overall players, NBA 2K has been more selective, with only six players ever achieving that coveted rating in the franchise’s 25-year history.
Headlining last year’s list is reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, who maintains a stellar 98 overall rating. Jokic’s well-rounded game is reflected in his impressive stats, including a 98 mid-range shot, 98 post control, and 97 defensive rebounding. Close behind him are Giannis Antetokounmpo and Luka Doncic, both earning a 97 overall rating.
LeBron James, the ageless wonder, retains his high-end status with a 96 overall, showcasing his elite passing, driving, and ball-handling abilities. Joel Embiid, currently sidelined due to injury, is rated 95 overall but boasts a 98 rating when healthy, thanks to his dominant interior presence.
Rounding out the top 10 are Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Stephen Curry, Jayson Tatum, Anthony Davis, and Devin Booker, each earning a 94 or 95 overall rating. These players represent the NBA’s elite, their ratings reflecting their exceptional skills and impact on the previous iteration of the game.
Milwaukee Bucks All-Star Guard Damian Lillard’s NBA 2K25 Rating
Unlike last year, Lillard’s rating is different in the latest version of the game, as seen in an article written by Adam Wells for Bleacher Report.
“The NBA 2K25 rating countdown continued with the players ranked No. 21-30 unveiled on Thursday, highlighted by Zion Williamson, Paul George and Damian Lillard.
All 10 players in the group are within one ratings point of each other at 88 or 89 overall, with Lillard atop the list at No. 21 overall,” Wells wrote.
Lillard’s NBA 2K24 rating has dropped 5 points from last year, reflecting his underwhelming first season with the Bucks. Despite making the All-Star team, his scoring efficiency dipped, leading to the reduced overall rating as a top-12 player in the game.
Although Dame’s NBA2K rating dropped, there’s still hope that his sophomore campaign in Milwaukee will be a lot better. With a full offseason ton prepare, there’s a strong chance Lillard can exceed what he did in his first year playing for the Bucks.
